The Enda Ryan Poppy Pods at Tile Barn Outdoor Centre
The Enda Ryan Poppy Pods at Tile Barn Outdoor Centre, are a lasting legacy to our Armed Services personnel; recognising and remembering the sacrifices made by them and their families. Twenty wooden pods are available for use by service personnel, veterans and their families. Complemented by a communal round house, the Poppy Pods are a unique holiday and respite facility.
The Poppy Pods were the vision of Enda Ryan and renamed in his memory following his untimely death in 2018. The Pods were opened in 2016 by HRH The Duchess of Cornwall and built with financial support from the Armed Forces Community Covenant, Hampshire County Council and the Royal British Legion in Brockenhurst.
The success and popularity of the Poppy Pods has exceeded even Enda’s expectations. Over 2,200 families have registered and used the pods since 2016. Tile Barn Outdoor Centre is extremely grateful for donations which will help to maintain and improve the Pods. This will ensure they can be sustained for future generations of armed forces personnel and their families.
